Lambskin for stroller or child seat, medically tanned by Trautwein

Super cuddly and soft are these beautiful lambskins. They offer excellent skin compatibility, long durability and, thanks to their natural heat regulation, are perfect as a support for the stroller, buggy or child car seat – in summer they have a cooling effect and in winter they are warming. With the prefabricated slots, seat belts can be easily pulled through. The skins are assembled and can have seams.

The lambskin consists of 100% animal protein and thus does not provide a breeding ground for germs, fungi or bacteria.

When we talk about a medical lambskin, it is about the type of tanning. The synthetic substance Relugan is used for chrome-free tanning with relugan. Ecologically unproblematic, because Relugan binds to proteins in wastewater when tanning. Typical for this type of tanning is a yellowish coloration of the wool.

Even if the natural skins have a natural self-cleaning effect, they can be washed due to the Relugan tanning up to 30°C in the wool wash. After washing, squeeze (do not spin and do not tumble dry) and re-shape during drying.

The tannery Trautwein has been practising its craft for 13 generations in its home town of Schiltach in the Black Forest. It processes skins according to an ancient secret recipe, with a lot of manual work and according to the strictest ecological and hygienic specifications. Up to 100 times the fur is taken in the hand, more than 50 operations are necessary and it takes 3-6 months until the skins are ready for sale. The holistic accompaniment of the skins from the shepherd to the customer creates the excellent Trautwein quality.
